New Guided Sharpening System Among Featured Products

02/25/2014

DMT Diamond Machining Technology is proud to be participating in IWA Outdoor Classics 2014 in Nuremburg, Germany. For more than 30 years, the American manufacturer has presented its full line of Made in America tools for hunting, fishing and camping at this show. This year, DMT will exhibit in the USA Pavilion, Hall 5, Stand 107.

Among the featured products will be DMT’s new Magna-Guide Kit (MAGKIT-4) guided sharpening system. The Magna-Guide Kit helps hunters, outdoor enthusiasts, and military and law enforcement personnel safely and quickly achieve a razor-sharp edge with consistent angle control, as attested by retired Army Special Forces officer turned knife-maker, Curtis Iovito.

“As a soldier, when you need a sharp knife and don’t have one, it can be a life-altering event, like when you have to cut yourself out of a stuck parachute. And portability is key. It’s easy to carry a DMT sharpener on a mission and keep a guided sharpening kit in the barracks or at the forward operating base,” says Iovito, co-founder of Spartan Blades in North Carolina. “We recommend DMT because it will sharpen any knife. With a few swipes, you’ll have a sharp blade and you won’t have to re-create that edge again.”

Professionals like Iovito and everyday consumers alike understand that keeping knives sharp in the field and at “home base” is essential—even a matter of survival. DMT’s new Magna-Guide Kit (MAGKIT-4) comes in a compact, rugged molded carrying case. It features the company’s celebrated next generation – and totally portable – Double-Sided Diafold Sharpeners along with the patented Magnetic Angle Guide (MAG), which accommodates grit changes in seconds. See just how easy it is in this demo video.

“By using DMT’s guided sharpening systems, you get tools that can sharpen any edge as well as the confidence to sharpen freehand. And you protect your knife from harsher methods that can ruin the blade,” Iovito says. “It’s simple, if you’ve got a high quality knife, you want a high quality sharpening kit. And that means DMT.”

All DMT products are proudly Made in the USA, so they’re built to last with the highest quality materials and workmanship, and achieve the ultimate in convenience and reliability on the water, on the trail or at the camp.
