Diamond Machining Technology, Inc. of Marlborough, Massachusetts,
was selected as the only American firm to receive an award
in the product innovation competition held at Practical World
(International Hardware Fair/DIY TEC) in Cologne. Trade visitors
cast ballots for the most innovative products exhibited during
the Fair. More than 68,000 trade visitors from 59 countries
attend Practical World. This Hardware Fair brought together
top representatives to discuss the newest subjects and most
innovative products in the DIY (Do-It-Yourself) sector. As
the only American firm to be so honored, DMT's Diamond Mini-Hone™
continues to be recognized globally for its unique, ergonomically-efficient
design. The Diamond Mini-Hone kit offers three tools with
color coded handles for easy grit identification to handle
all sharpening needs: such as mold and die work, scissors
and metal snips and pruners and knives. The Mini-Hone is considered
one of the most user-friendly sharpening devices available
today. The award was presented to Elizabeth Powell, chair
of Diamond Machining Technology, Inc., and former chair and
director of the Worldwide D-I-Y Council. In receiving the
