Marlborough, MA – Diamond Machining Technology (DMT®), a leading manufacturer of diamond sharpening products, today introduced a revolutionary new diamond sharpener, the Diamond Wave™. The Diamond Wave is the first diamond sharpener to combine convex and concave abrasive surfaces. Perfect for woodworkers, carvers and wood turners, the Diamond Wave provides longer sharpening strokes than traditional slip stones and because of its unique design can sharpen nearly all tools with curved edges.

Constructed with a precisely micronized, monocrystaline, diamond coating on a steel substrate, the Diamond Wave provides smooth and even-stock removal and sharpening without errant scratches. Its durable abrasive surface will not chip, crack, hollow or groove and the Diamond Wave will not break, even when dropped. The Diamond Wave sharpens much faster than traditional conventional slip stones and provides radii from as small as 1/16”(1.6mm) to 1,” (25.4mm), accommodating a wide range of curved gouges.
The Diamond Wave is available in two grits – a 600 grit/25 micron diamond and a 1200 grit/9 micron diamond – so it is capable of sharpening and refining to a razor’s edge. Measuring 10” in overall length, the Diamond Wave allows for longer sharpening strokes. No lubrication is required with the Diamond Wave and it comes with a non-skid mat to secure your sharpening surface.
