Marlborough, MA—Consumers of all skill levels have long depended on the Guided Sharpening Systems from DMT Diamond Machining Technology to achieve the perfect edge with correct and consistent angle control. DMT has just expanded its guided sharpening line with a new Aligner™ Pro Kit, a system that now features a rugged molded carrying case to neatly and securely store all contents. The Aligner Pro Kit joins the existing guided sharpening offerings from DMT: the Aligner™ Easy Edge-Guided Sharpening Kits and Diafold® Magna-Guide™ Sharpening Kits. These products come in a variety of packaging options and offer a range of grit and accessory combinations.
The new Aligner Pro Kit is completely self-contained—requiring no additional plastic packaging and making it a greener choice for consumers. It is also smaller in size than any kits offered by competitors and can stand upright on a shelf or hang by its integral handle for convenient retail display and consumer storage.

The Aligner Pro Kit comes with three 4" diamond sharpening stones, a fine diamond-serrated knife sharpening attachment, a secure stone holder, and easy-to-follow instructions. Like all DMT® diamond sharpeners, the included stones feature precisely micronized single crystal diamonds in DMT’s signature polka dot pattern. The stones are in three different grits—Coarse diamond (45 micron / 325 mesh) to quickly restore a neglected edge, Fine diamond (25 micron / 600 mesh) for a razor sharp edge and Extra-Fine diamond (9 micron / 1200 mesh) to polish and refine a razor edge after sharpening with a coarser stone. The serrated attachment allows sharpening of notched and curved blades. The non-scratch engineered resin blade guide easily facilitates sharpening at seven different angles to match virtually any bevel.
