Diamond Machining Technology (DMT), the leader in diamond sharpening, is now expanding distribution of its Dia-Sharp® Magna-Disc System™. This ingenious and landmark system brings diamond sharpening and honing capabilities to Work Sharp™ machine models WS2000 and WS3000 with improved strength, ease of use, safety and ultimate results.
Magna-Disc System key advantages:
• Long lasting: more than 50 to 1 over paper abrasive discs
• Faster and easier grit change: 15 seconds versus 2 minutes for paper abrasive discs
• Heat damage protection: maintain constant tool contact without fear of ruining tool temper from overheating
The Magna-Disc Sharpening Kit (MSRP $94.99) comes with a coarse (45 micron) diamond disc to quickly sharpen a neglected edge and a fine (25 micron) diamond disc to put a keen edge on a maintained tool. The Magna-Disc Honing Kit (MSRP $74.99) features an extra-fine (9 micron) diamond disc to polish and refine to a razor edge and a cloth disc to be used with the diamond paste (3 micron) paste for glossy polish edge refinement.
The precisely micronized monocrystalline diamond discs provide extreme durability and a uniform scratch pattern. The metal core disc improves safety by functioning as a heat sink to prevent damage and sparks. The Magna-Disc enables quick disc changes with no messy adhesives, torn paper discs or trapped air bubbles.
